Karen, (also known as Pastor Karen or ‘PK’), is an ordained minister and a ‘cheerleader’ of people. She is passionate about motivating people toward a life of wholeness through teaching nutrition seminars, workshops, and personal weight loss/nutrition coaching. A key area of expertise is equipping people for healthy living so they may have the energy to fulfill their God-given purpose.

Karen and her husband, John, are the founders of the Oasis of the Valley in Monrovia, California, where she was the Associate Pastor alongside her husband, the Senior Pastor, since 1985. In early 2013, Karen said ‘yes’ to the call as Senior Pastor and was installed in July 2013; John is now travelling locally and abroad educating ministry leaders and their congregations. John and Karen are also the founders of Foundation Rock Ministries International, a ministry designed to encourage and empower the five-fold ministry in fulfilling their call and their corporate mandate to be One.

Besides being an avid Los Angeles Lakers basketball fan and health enthusiast, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and their family: their son, Christopher (aka: Buster), their son-in-law, daughter and granddaughters: Andrew, Christina, Lilly and Hannah; and Pepper, the Mastrogiovanni family’s entertaining cat.
